What BoostFi is
BoostFi is software for building and understanding business credit. It gathers what commercial credit sources report about your business, reads those files alongside your business banking activity, and shows you where you stand and what tends to move it.
BoostFi is not a bank, a lender, a broker, a credit repair organisation, or a credit reporting agency. It does not lend money, arrange financing, or hold your funds. It does not file disputes on your behalf, guarantee any outcome, or promise that any score will change.
What we do not promise
This matters more than anything else in this document, so it is near the top.
- We do not promise approval for any credit product, from anybody.
- We do not promise funding, an amount, or a rate.
- We do not promise that any score will rise, or by how much, or by when.
- We do not promise that a source will begin reporting on your business.
Everything BoostFi shows you is a readiness indication: our reading of what the sources reported. A lender makes its own decision using its own criteria, and none of them use our reading.
Your account
You are responsible for your password and for anything done by people you invite into your workspace. One person, one account — invite a colleague rather than sharing a login, so the record reflects who actually did what.
You must be authorised to act for the business you add, and the information you give us about it must be accurate. We do not verify that a business is yours.
Your data, and what we do with it
What you put into BoostFi stays yours. We store and process it to run the service and for nothing else. We do not sell it.
Where you connect a bank account or authorise us to retrieve a credit file, you are giving permission for that specific retrieval. You can withdraw it, and the connection stops. Data already retrieved stays on your file unless you ask us to remove it — see the Privacy Policy for how.
Bank connections
Bank connections run through Plaid. You enter your bank credentials inside Plaid's own interface; BoostFi never sees them, never stores them, and cannot retrieve them. What we receive is read-only access to balances and transactions, and only for the accounts you chose.
We cannot move money from a connected account. Nothing in BoostFi initiates a payment from your bank.
Credit reports and files
Reports you upload are documents you already have a right to. Reports we retrieve are retrieved with your authorisation, from the source, at the time shown on them.
We show each source on its own scale and in its own words. We do not convert a commercial score onto a consumer 300–850 range, because they measure different things and the comparison would be meaningless.
Where we publish our own reading — the CredLogic BPS — it is labelled as ours and is not a bureau score.
Paid plans
Plans are described where you buy them. Payment is handled by Stripe; BoostFi does not store your card.
You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Cancelling does not delete your data. We do not offer refunds for part of a period unless we have got something wrong, in which case ask and we will sort it out.
If we change a price, you will be told before it applies to you.
Mentorship and programmes
Where you buy a mentorship programme, its own terms are given to you at the point of sale and take precedence over this document for that programme.
Availability
This is a working product under active development. It is provided as it is, without a warranty that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. We will tell you about planned interruptions where we can.
Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time. We can close an account that is being used to break these terms, to break the law, or to harm somebody — and we will tell you why.
Limits
To the extent the law allows, BoostFi is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We will publish a new version here when these change, with the date it takes effect. Where a change is significant we will tell you rather than rely on you noticing.
